Correcting a Poor Boiler Flue Brickwork Repair
Pontefract, West Yorkshire
Service Description
Brickwork repair completed in Pontefract after a poorly executed boiler flue removal left an untidy and structurally weak finish. Carefully rebuilt and matched to blend with the existing wall.
DW Building Services was contacted to rectify a poor-quality brickwork repair left behind following the removal of an old boiler flue.
The original opening had been roughly filled with mismatched bricks and mortar, leaving an obvious patch that affected both the appearance and overall quality of the wall. The repair lacked attention to detail and failed to blend with the surrounding brickwork, making it highly visible from both close up and a distance.
To achieve a much cleaner and more professional finish, the defective repair was carefully removed and rebuilt. The opening was properly infilled, the brickwork reconstructed, and the mortar joints finished to match the existing property as closely as possible. Particular care was taken to ensure the repaired area blended naturally with the surrounding wall while maintaining the structural integrity of the brickwork.
The completed repair transformed the appearance of the wall, leaving a neat and durable finish that is far less noticeable and in keeping with the rest of the property.
